This was painted during the 2023 Paint Dexter Plein Air Festival. What do you do when it's raining all day long? You set up inside a friend's garage and paint the view looking out. Originally, I was going to simply paint the house, but the light was very flat, so I backed up and included the interior of the garage. Visually, there's a path that the eye follows from the shovel to the house, so that's where the title comes from.
